How Can severe Lower Back Pain Be Treated?

After having lower back pain for around 8 months and being proscribed anti inflammatory medication for an inflamed sacroiliac joint I have now developed severe pain and ultered sensation in my left leg and toes My earlier MRI had indicated a bulged disc and I was treated with a nerve root sleeve injection in the L5 S1 area It has now been 6 weeks since the injection with little pain relief I am seeing a phicyotherapst but am wondering how long before I need to start talking to a neurosurgeon

Hi i am Dr Ahmed Aly
thanks for using healthcaremagic site ,
I had gone through your question and understand your concerns ..

Actually a lot of researches recommend 6 consecutive months of injection is highly suggestible for minor endoscopic neurosurgeon intervention to free your nerve compression . in severe cases open spinal surgeries may be recommended for spinal fixation .
For my patients i recommend hot massages with topical gels , spinal straightening exercises and physiotherapy sessions with a chiropractor is highly effective for most of cases .
You may use painkillers like advil tab when needed , muscle relaxants , B12 vitamin supplementation will be helpful .
